Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett is once again out in the community. On Monday, April 30, 2012, Brian and Shannon Crown were at Espiritu Santo Catholic School handing out ice cream in the truck owned by Paul Meissner. Their two children, Samantha Crown and Christopher Crown,  who are students at the school, helped to hand out the ice cream. Shannon Crown, a paralegal at the office of Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett, manages the cases that go through the Hillsborough County Court Complex. The history of the Espiritu Santo School begins with Old Tampa Bay in 1539 when Hernando DeSoto landed and founded the springs, naming them "Espiritu Santo”, meaning Holy Spirit. The mighty tree, which sprouted from a tiny seed of faith planted by missionaries in 1569, has produced much fruit and continues to grow.

Terri Cromley, the managing attorney of the Carlson, Meissner, Hart & Hayslett, P.A. office located in Bradenton, and Brenda Sullivan, participated in the DeSoto Heritage Festival Grand Parade in Bradenton this weekend, dressed in their Marauder's geer. It’s the time of year where patio furniture starts to appear along Manatee Avenue. Foldable and portable seats of all kinds are tied to benches, fire hydrants, traffic lights and just about anything along the busy street that’s fixed to the ground.  The parade attracts large crowds of Manatee County residents every year. This year the parade is promised to be bigger and better than ever. Over 150 illuminated parade entries will light up the night with color, music and fanfare like you’ve never witnessed before! The De Soto Parade is ranked as one of the largest and most prestigious parades in the South. Whether you’ve never been, or have been to every parade, you don’t want to miss this year’s. As always, the parade kicks off at 6:30 pm. It begins its journey at Manatee High School, heads west along 9th Avenue, and takes a right up 39th Street West towards Manatee Avenue. It continues east down Manatee Avenue towards downtown, ending at 9th Street West.
