Our office is privileged, once again, to have the opportunity to bring our Good Humor Ice Cream truck filled with ice cream for the children and families at the 30th Annual Kids With Cancer Holiday Party. Many children in our area are afflicted with cancer during this time of the year and therefore have a difficult time enjoying the season. Realizing this, in 1986, this organization hosted the first Kids With Cancer Holiday Party and have carried on this tradition.

Kids with Cancer provides a special day for the entire family complete with presents, food, drinks, entertainment, dancing, games and even a visit from Santa Claus, and of course, the ice cream. This wonderful event gives them an opportunity to temporarily forget about their illness and have one day of normalcy. It will be held at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on December 4th.

If you have any questions regarding this event please contact Norm Haglund at 727-458-3726.

Terri Cromley, the managing partner of our Bradenton office, attended a special dinner on September 29, 2016, and volunteered at Tournament FORE Dreams, a golf tournament on September 30, 2016.  Both events were for the benefit the Foundation for Dreams, Dream Oaks Camp.  Dream Oaks Camp is a nonprofit organization which provides therapeutic camping programs for children between the ages of 7 to 17 with special needs and chronic/terminal illnesses.

Dream Oaks Camp provides year round residential and day sessions for children with varying ability levels (both physical and developmental) and chronic/terminal medical conditions including: (but not limited to) autism, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, developmental delays and cancer patients. Their goals are to provide a special place for children and give them the opportunity to bond with others, build steps toward a greater self confidence, as well as strengthen activities of daily living and life skills, while providing respite services to parents and/or caregivers. Terri is very excited to support this amazing camp.

She said "I have never met a group of people more passionate about their charity than the administrators, board members and counselors associated with this group.  They are amazing people who are committed to these children and their families".  She will be chairing a fundraiser for the Manatee Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers next year to benefit them.

If you know a child who would benefit from this camp or for more info, go to
