After Tampa-based radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge Clem caught wind of the case of 73-year-old Theresa Collier going to jail after slapping her cursing granddaughter, he called the teen out on air Monday morning.
Felicia Collier, 18, called him Tuesday.
After a 30-minute segment, culminating with an appearance by the senior Collier, and an offer of legal and counseling services, the story that has pinched the nerves of many around Tampa Bay may have reached a conclusion.
The charges of domestic battery against Collier, said Clem's lawyer, Kevin Hayslett, are likely to be dropped.

"If my granddaughter has spoken to me that way, I would have smacked her too. There is quite a difference between domestic abuse/battery and teaching your kid a lesson. As a matter of fact, I would have smacked her twice." ~ LaWildwoman
"Spare the rod, get the government agencies involved. A whoopin' with a hickory stick was in order." ~ LarryF
